Fashionistas happy new week. The last few weeks Supongo Estilo is very busy with starting new collaborations for the next season. I’m very happy to tell you that I start my collaboration with Monique Collignon!

  • About Monique Collignon: Monique Collignon is a strong Dutch (Haute) Couture brand, with the potential to conquer the world. The mission: Empowering women. Each unique design, is recognizable by its elegant confident feminine cut, is eye-catching, stylish and never out of fashion. Features fitted to the woman who likes to wear Collignon. It gives a woman power in all her facets!
  • The collection: Monique Collignon uses fabrics made of 100% recycled PET bottles, named Waste2Wear*, in her Couture Light collection (ready-to-wear). Seventy percent of this collection (ready-to-wear) is made of Waste2Wear materials, other fabrics such as silk and lace are also eco-friendly and responsibly produced. You can recognize these items to the special, for this collection designed, ‘The Conscious Collection’ label. With this collection Collignon wants to pay attention to the (plastic) waste problem and make a statement: After all, waste is waste if you don’t do anything with it. We really need to provide a better and more green environment. It’s time to step up and act! Monique Collignon shows that you can help to get rid of plastic in the world and look stunning at the same time. The Collignon Couture Light SS16 collection is all about the earth and the four elements; earth, water, fire and air combined with plastic waste. The collection got the message ‘dress it up, dress it down’.The Couture Light line consists mostly out of dresses for all kind of occasions and for every age. Nice to know is in every design is mentioned of how many plastic bottles the item is made of.
  • Waste2Wear: Monique Collignon uses fabrics of Waste2Wear® in her Couture Light collection. These fabrics are made of 100% recycled PET bottles. Herewith Collignon wants to pay attention to the (plastic) waste problem: “I wanna show that you can help the world to get rid of plastic and at the same time look fabulous. After all, waste is waste if you don’t do anything with it”. Other fabrics Collignon uses in her prêt à porter collection are also eco-friendly and responsibly produced.
  • I’m not an idealist:  Monique Collignon uses fabrics of Waste2Wear® in her Couture Light collection. These fabrics are made of 100% recycled PET bottles. If a woman wear a Collignon, Monique hopes that it gives this woman power in all her facets. Each design, is recognizable by its elegant feminine cut, is stylish and never out of fashion. “That feeling and appearance increases the idea that you wear responsibly produced clothing, is my opinion. I am not an idealist, but start with yourself”, says Monique Collignon.

This was a ”little introduction about Monique Collignon her lovely brand. The coming days you gonna find out more about our collaboration, so stay tuned! But this I may already say: this week it’s time for the Amsterdam fashion week where she is gonna show her new Summer 2017 collection and I’m very excited to see it! The dress and jacket are amazing together and as separates.. there is something very modern and yet vintage like in this look. Beautifully worn.
